NOVEMBER 10 LeMAY MUSEUM FUND RAISER

Saturday, November 10 will be our biggest and best opportunity to support the LeMay AMERICAN CAR MUSEUM. The museum needs support to meet the 2009/2010 goal for opening the first phase of the nine-acre campus adjacent to the Tacoma Dome. Tom Crook has made this event possible through the use of his classic car showroom and sales facility on Pacific Highway South in Kent.

During a brief look last week we saw some gorgeous cars, e.g., Deusenburg convertible sedan from the Wrigley family, V-12 Auburn Speedster, Packard Darrin Roadster, Cord sedan, 16-cylinder Cadillac and a variety of other Packards and eye candy.

Our donors have provided some great overnight getaways that will be auctioned: Carriage House at Roche Harbor with two bedrooms/two baths; Silverdale Beach Hotel and Restaurant; Salish Lodge and Spa; Courtyard by Marriott and the Morano/Sheraton Hotel & Savi Spa. Keep in mind what great holiday gifts these accommodations and other auction items would make.

SCHEDULE

• 4:00 Tour of cars in the sales rooms (20s, 30s and 40s classic cars)

• 5:30 Social hour

• 6:30 Dinner followed by auction

 A silent auction and not-so silent-auction will be held. The auction items would make great holiday gifts for family and friends. 

 

RESERVATIONS

The headcount for the fund raiser is limited to a total of 100 members and guests. The suggested all-inclusive donation for dinner is $22.50. DRIVING DIRECTIONS

From I-5 north or south:

1. Leave I-5 at Exit #149 or 149A and turn west on Kent-Des Moines Road (Hwy. 516)
2. Go west to Pacific Highway South (Hwy. 99) and turn left.
3. At 0.8 miles Tom’s Classic Car Auto Sales will be on your left.
4. At 1.2 miles there is a traffic signal where  you make a U-turn
5. Classic Car Auto Sales is located at 24620 Pacific Highway South.
