Photography Class

We are very fortunate to have a member willing to teach us all to be better photographers.  Kurt Miyatake is a graduate of the Art Center College of Design, was a professional photographer in southern California and was a photography instructor at Pasadena City College!  I can’t thank Kurt enough for the time he is giving to do this for the club!

Kurt will conduct a hands-on tech session (class) on SATURDAY, July29th. The focus will be on tips for positioning of the car, detailing, lighting, and leveraging the location to help create interesting images. The lesson will start at 6:30pm and will end about 9:00pm (after sundown).

The location for the photo shoot is at a member’s home in Auburn. We will email the address to those that register for the photography class. Participants should plan on arriving at the designated location between 6:00 pm - 6:25 pm to allow time to get parking and ready for class.This is a hands-on tech session, so plan on using whatever camera you feel the most comfortable with to shoot pictures of the car being modeled. Some images might be taken close to sunset, so if you have a tripod, plan on bringing it to help with camera (or smartphone) stabilization.
