Towaco Screw Machine Products Company Tour.
Take a tour through one of the most unique machine shops in the Northwest. Towaco Screw Machine Products Company has been in business since the 1950s. Its present owner, Duane Schosboek, has run the shop for over 40 years with machines built in the 40’s and 50’s. Don’t expect to see CNC machines making screws, these machines are manually programmed by changing different shaped discs and cams. The machines make small parts for other machines like espresso and exercise machines, moisture meters, pallet jacks, berry pickers and aerospace to mention a few. Duane will run some of these machines so we can see a 20’ piece of steel stock go in one end and parts come out of the other end. There are very few of these types of machine shops left, so don’t miss an opportunity to tour one.
